Project Manager

Position Overview 

We are seeking highly skilled Project Managers to lead and manage IT and business projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves overseeing diverse projects, from system implementations and infrastructure upgrades to process optimization and documentation initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:  

1. Project Planning and Execution 

  • Plan, organize, and manage small to large-scale IT projects, including system implementations, software upgrades, and infrastructure deployments. 

  • Develop and maintain project management plans, schedules, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) using tools like Microsoft Project. 

  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring deliverables are met according to the approved project plan and State System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements. 

2. Stakeholder and Team Management

  • Define project scope, manage stakeholder expectations, and supervise multidisciplinary project teams, including IT staff, contractors, and subject matter experts (SMEs). 

  • Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and resolve workload conflicts in collaboration with functional managers. 

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and foster buy-in for organizational changes introduced by the project. 

3. Risk and Change Management 

  • Create and maintain Risk Management Plans (RMP) and Risk Registries to identify, prioritize, and address project risks proactively. 

  • Implement change management processes to manage scope adjustments and ensure documentation and stakeholder communication align with project goals. 

4. Governance and Reporting 

  • Ensure adherence to project governance standards, managing schedule variances, and documenting changes in the Integrated Master Schedule and Status Report. 

  • Provide accurate and timely updates on project progress, prepare monthly status reports, and conduct lessons learned sessions. 

5. Documentation and Deliverables 

  • Oversee the development of functional requirements, systems documentation, and training materials. 

  • Ensure all project artifacts, including contracts, deliverables, and documentation, are recorded and organized in designated repositories. 

  • Validate deliverables for completeness, adherence to standards, and alignment with project objectives. 

6. Procurement and Compliance 

  • Develop and coordinate the preparation of procurement documents (TORFPs, RFRs, RFPs) while ensuring compliance with client internal policies. 

  • Adhere to all client governance and operational standards, including privacy, security, and disaster recovery protocols. 

Qualifications and Skills 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 

  • 5+ years of experience managing IT and business projects, including cross-functional team leadership.  

Technical Skills 

  • Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project and other industry-standard applications. 

  • Experience with risk management, governance frameworks, and compliance processes. 

Soft Skills 

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-paced environments. 

Certifications 

  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications are strongly preferred.
